Technologies used
Simple. Straight forward. Functional. Flat. Those were the guidelines set for this project. I took a rather wide open approach compared to my other works on this one. I had fun designing flat and delivering information in broad strokes from my HTML brush. Lines and circles are the basic building blocks on this job, as they are in the industry of large format printer.
Solid red color for main highlight elements is the primary color of the choice. Few subtle textures are used for background and icons.
Bold, straight forward and simple were the criteria in the layout. Four main navigation buttons and four icons for them. A bit cartoony yet clearly definitive. House for home button, printer for pinting services, briefcase for portfolio and envelope for contact options.
The page footer is decorated with iconography and large titles of the most important keywords and key phrases for the industry. The descriptive paragraphs are also written with relevant information about the products and services as well as utilizing those important searchable words.
Responsive navigation is supported by a responsive form with data validation and a submit button in shape of street mailbox. Both the phone number and street address are made clickable, which provides additional linking and functionality for mobile users. This project is a work in progress - responsive design is the only thing left to do.
